Joi's second trip into Bengali-based grooves reaffirms their status as the true and original pioneers of England's fusion dance music - bringing east and west together in sinuous, hypnotizing tracks packed with rich brews of dub ragga, house, trance chants, and tabla rhythms.

The brothers grew up in East London, making tapes for their father's music shop with synthesizers and echo chambers as well as flutes and tablas - while listening to soul, hip-hop, and reggae.  The crossover vibe became their trademark, and their legend grew like wildfire as they DJ'ed their way around London's burgeoning club scene in the 80s and 90s.

Older brother Haroon travelled to their family's ancestral village in Bangladesh following their 1999 debut album, collaborating with musicians and collecting the sounds that would become the heart of this second album.  His tragic sudden death later that year left younger brother Farook to complete - with the help of Spring Heel Jack producers John Cox and Ashley Wales - what is a tribute in every respect to Haroon, in the form of a musical journey.
